Scope

This policy applies to the Moments app provided by Mugio, the mugio.studio website, early bird registration, customer support, and general communications. Third-party stores, social platforms, and external websites process data under their own privacy policies.

How the app handles data

The current app version does not collect data

The data-minimal version covered by this policy does not require an account, include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, or transmit personal data, game progress, gameplay content, device identifiers, location, or diagnostics to Mugio or any third-party SDK added by Mugio.

Local data on your device

Game progress, settings, and save files remain on your device. Deleting the app will normally remove this local data. Backups provided by your operating system or platform are managed through your settings for that service.

Device permissions

The current version does not require access to the camera, photos, microphone, contacts, or precise location. In-game “photography” is a fictional gameplay mechanic and does not activate the device camera. If a future feature changes this, we will explain the purpose in a system prompt and update this policy and our App Store privacy information before access begins.

Website and contact data

Website analytics

The website uses Google Analytics to understand website performance. Through cookies or similar technology, it may process pages viewed, interaction events, referral source, approximate location, browser and device information, and a pseudonymous identifier used to distinguish browser sessions. An early bird form analytics event may include the selected platform, site language, and campaign source, but we do not send the name or email entered in the form to Google Analytics.

Language preference

The website may store a language preference in your browser so it can show the right language on your next visit. This feature does not send that preference to Mugio.

Information you choose to provide

When you email us, register for early bird updates, or make a support or business inquiry, we receive the email address, optional name or nickname, platform preference, message, and correspondence records you provide. Please do not send sensitive information unrelated to your request.

Providing this information is voluntary. Without it, we may be unable to complete early bird registration or respond to an inquiry, but this will not affect your use of the app's offline features.

How we use data

We use data only as needed to provide and maintain our services, respond to inquiries, send important Moments updates you requested, understand overall website use, improve content and security, and meet legal obligations. We do not use app or website data for cross-service behavioral advertising.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal data. Where necessary, providers that support website analytics, hosting, or email may process data for us; our current website analytics provider is Google Analytics. We provide only what is needed for the service and require providers, through contracts, applicable terms, and law, to protect data to the same or an equivalent standard as this policy. We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or asset transfer, with notice where appropriate.

Retention and deletion

Local app data remains until you delete the app or, where the app offers a reset option, reset it. Early bird and contact data remains until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or it is no longer needed to provide updates or handle an inquiry. Minimal records may be kept longer where required for legal, security, or dispute purposes. Website analytics data is retained according to the period configured in our Google Analytics account, then deleted or aggregated. We periodically review whether continued retention is necessary.

Your choices and rights

• If the app offers a reset option, you can reset progress in the app; you can also delete the app to remove local data.
• You can reply to an update or email us at any time to stop early bird messages.
• You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data held by Mugio. We may first verify your identity and will handle the request under applicable law.
• You can block or clear cookies through browser settings, or limit website analytics with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

To make any of these requests, email hello@mugio.studio. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and, where the law allows more time, explain the reason for the extension.

Other important information

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

International processing

Some service providers may process data outside Taiwan. We use appropriate protections under applicable law and service terms.

Children's privacy

The app and website are not directed primarily to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data through the app. If you believe a child provided data to us without appropriate consent, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our data practices or legal requirements change and will revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practical.
